Can you pray maghrib if it's nearly Isha?

Salah is an obligation. It is better to pray it at the earliest time, especially maghrib. However if you were unable to pray it and the time for Isha is close, pray as quickly as possible, as your salah will be valid, even though it is at the less preferable time.
