About Shaykh Haytham Tamim
Shaykh Haytham Tamim is a scholar of hadith with a great deal of expertise in this science. He has worked with highly respected shuyukh and has conducted tahqeeq (critical verification) of 20 books in the field. He was also part of the team that published the first-ever single-volume compilation of hadith, an unprecedented scholarly achievement. In 1994, Sharhu sharhi Nukhbatil Fikar on the terminology of the sciences of hadith was well received and featured an introduction by the esteemed Shaykh Abdulfattah Abu Ghuddah.
His knowledge spans all major Islamic schools of thought, and he has an in-depth understanding of hadith as a discipline, including its nuances, contexts, and methodologies. Over the years, he has studied with some of the world’s foremost scholars, including:

- Shaykh Muhammad Sukkar
- Professor Mustafa Azami
- Mufti Taqi Usmani
- Shaykh Nizam Yaqoubi
With 29 links in his chain of transmission, Shaykh Haytham’s unbroken chain of scholarship traces directly back to the Prophet ﷺ.

Who was Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani?
Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (d. 852 AH / 1449 AD) was a medieval Islamic scholar whose contributions to the science of hadith are immense. He authored approximately 150 works covering hadith, history, biography, tafseer, poetry, and Shafi‘i jurisprudence. His scholarly rigor and depth made him one of the most influential figures in the field of hadith studies.
What is Bulugh al-Maram?
Bulugh al-Maram is a collection of over 1,000 hadith compiled by Ibn Hajar, specifically focusing on hadith that serve as the basis for legal rulings in the Shafi‘i school. However, it is widely regarded as a seminal collection of hadith across all schools of thought due to its comprehensive and methodical approach.
